There are many firsts happening lately involving my career, gaming, and other activities. I’ll post about the other ones here shortly, but I finally gave Fortnite a try. Surprisingly, it’s better than I thought it would be, perhaps because I had such low expectations coming into the first game, that anything would’ve probably garnered my approval.
I never had any intentions of playing this game. If it wasn’t for my dear cousin Debbymar I probably would’ve never played in my whole life, but she convinced me otherwise, and there I was downloading, installing, and then actually playing the first game.
Now, from the video you’ll see that I’m not good at all at this game. I haven’t played any multiplayer, player vs. player first-person shooters in a long time (I know, Fortnite is not FPS necessarily, but you know what I mean).
The first time I ever played FPS-type games was with SOCOM 2 for Playstation 2. That game to me is one of the greatest games of all-time. This was during a time when these type of games were still rather new, and there were many new inexperienced players who were easily beatable back then.
It’s a whole different ballgame now with games like Call of Duty, Fortnite, and others. People are just extremely good, and you’re good as dead the moment you spot a moving enemy.
I’ll probably continue playing the game – I mean, what the hell. It’s actually pretty good.
